James Leon Isley TSGT USAF, Retired

James Leon Isley passed on January 19, 2021. He was 88. He was born in Philadelphia, PA. He was reared in Greensboro NC and subsequently served 20 years in the US Air Force and retired as a TSGT.

James Leon Isley (Pete) passed on January 19, 2021. He was 88. He was born in Philadephia, PA. He was reared in Greensboro, NC and subsequently spent 20 years in the US Air Force and retired as a TSGT. He later served as a civil servant for 17 years as a jet mechanic. He retired at the ripe old age of 58 and had been living the life of “Riley” until his passing. He was a country boy at heart and loved to fish. He moved to Florida in May of 2019 from California. He was preceded in death by his ex-wife Ruth (Red), oldest son Randall (Brush) and sister Jean Bingham. He is survived by 5 children: Marinda (Mitch), Terrell (Squirrel), Glenn (Cutty), Donna (Perch) and Alex; sister Betty Francis Reece; seven grandchildren: Shanae’, Tavia, Jordan, Brandon, Merrick, Khendal and Jett; two great-grandchildren: Malea and Xavier; daughter-in-law Amber (Doc). James will be interred at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on Feb. 8, 2021.
